Love Gets a Room!

Love Gets a Room is Rodrigo Cortés’ new movie, in which my little sister Dalit stars along with Clara Rugaard, Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Henry Goodman, Anastasia Hille, Valentina Bellè, Mark Ryder, Freya Parks, Jack Roth, and Magnus Krepper.

The movie is set in 1942 in the Warsaw ghetto. It’s a beautiful movie, based on real events. In the film, inside the ghetto, a group of actors perform the play Miłość szuka mieszkania (which premiered at the Femina Theater in the Warsaw ghetto), written by Jerzy Jurandot (who, luckily, survived the Holocaust).

Love Gets a Room has been nominated for 2 Goya Awards (for the non-Spanish: the Goya Awards are as important in Spain as the Oscars in the US) and for 3 Feroz Awards, and it has won the Young Jury Award of the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICC50). Someone who saw the film wrote that my sister Dalit should have been nominated for Best Newcomer Actress (Mejor Actriz Revelación) at the Goya Awards, and I completely agree!

Here’s the trailer:

Go to the cinema and watch it!
